Collection: BIOGRAPHY

I work across disciplines as an artist and actor, moving between visual art, performance, and film.

I was born in Germany with Armenian roots, and that sense of existing between worlds has shaped my work from the beginning. After completing my training in Hamburg, I spent many years working on stage and in front of the camera, taking part in over 70 film, television, and cinema productions. During that time, I developed a strong awareness for expression, atmosphere, and dramaturgy — elements that continue to inform my work today.

My visual practice grew directly out of this experience. I work with materials like colored concrete, creating reliefs, installations, and paintings that carry both weight and emotion. Each piece is built by hand, often slowly and physically, and follows its own internal logic. I’m interested in tension — between control and instinct, structure and rawness.

My visual language is direct, sometimes loud, sometimes restrained, but never decorative. I’m not interested in pleasing the eye. I’m interested in creating a reaction — something that lingers beyond the surface.

For me, art and acting are not separate fields, but part of the same process. Both are ways of exploring presence, perception, and what remains unspoken.

Since 2015, I have been working from my studio, a place where material, history, and attitude come together and continuously shape my practice.
